Ansco Seed, Inc. was started by Aage Neldeberg and his son Kurt in 1979.  Over 30 years later, we continue our soul mission of providing the seed industry with the highest quality irrigated seed corn products at a competitive price.

Located just east of the Missouri River between Sioux City and Omaha, our grower base consists of some of the most fertile ground in the state of Iowa.  We have access to over 2,700 acres of ground averaging 80+ CSR.  Nearly 2,000 acres of 80+ CSR is connected into one giant block of production directly around our plant.  This access to large blocks of production allows us to more efficiently control our isolations and maximize seed acres.

Our growers are some of the most conscientious farmers in the industry.  With most of the acres they farm being seed corn, their attention to detail has allowed us to provide our customers with seed that meets or exceeds both yield and quality expectations.

The ANSCO Seed facility has continuously undergone expansion and upgrading to meet the needs of our customers.

Our sorting house consists of a large twin dump shaker pit that feeds three (3) twelve lane A&K Huskers and sorting tables.

The drying facility includes twenty (20) single pass reversing dryers.  Completely full, they have the capacity to dry nearly 31,000 bushels per turn.  With the addition of three dryer bins in 2009, our facility has the capability of drying individual seed lots from 250 bushels to 3,200 bushels.

We have on-site storage for your shelled corn in forty eight (48) individual storage bins.  These bins range in size from 1,100 bushel Friesen to 15,000 bushel flat storage bins.  This storage capacity allows us to store your precious seed on site, free of charge, until you are ready to haul it out in bulk or until it is ready for bagging.

In recent years we have offered our customers “In the bag” pricing.  We have been able to accomplish this through an agreement with Blair Seed Services in Blair, Nebraska.  Customers who choose to have their seed corn production put in the bag have the option of picking up their finished product at the Blair facility or at our partner facility, Unicorn Seed. The Unicorn Seed warehouse is located just north of the ANSCO Seed facility.

The Unicorn Seed warehouse is 80 feet by 150 feet.  Within the warehouse is an 80x75 insulated storage area.  This area is cooled in the summer and is available for summer cold storage for up to 30,000 units.  The remainder of the building is used to stage loads coming back from the bagging facility as well as storing smaller lots of bulk seed in 45 bushel bulk bags.  The Unicorn warehouse is available to anyone needing corn or bean storage whether the need is for one week or one year.

ANSCO Seed has the ability to provide our customers with the highest quality irrigated seed production in western Iowa.  Because we are a smaller company, 3,200 Acres, we can give our customers the one on one service they deserve as well as concentrate on the small details that are so important in producing quality seed.

Whether you are looking for bulk or bagged seed production, ANSCO Seed can take care of all your seed corn production needs.
